This is wonderful. I think we all feel deflated these days. I’m grateful for poetry and music and art and the people who make them - they generate the air I need to stand upright again.
I appreciated your poem! We used to have an elderly neighbor across the street that loved to put up these inflatables that I hated. (His reasoning? For my kids, he said!) I admit to feeling a little happy when he moved away…🤔 I also liked where you took this…so true!
