Clattering down each stair confronted by fluorescent bin stickers denoting table numbers on wood-clad faux sauna walls. Then running shouting men in the black street outside.
Sadiya (@sadipoetry) is a poet who draws on themes of identity, history and relationships to produce evocative and nuanced work that poses many questions. She inhabits a multicultural, diasporic world adopting different identities. Objects, politics, memories and characters trigger her work.
