Welcome to my ocean of dirt!
The terraces are waves
The pasture is the shoreline
This is where my mind sets sail
This is the source and
My heart aches when I’m gone too long
Longing to kiss that read dirt and
Feel the grit of it
I’m grateful for the gifts I take back from this place
The wranglers my dad left me
The pocketknife my grandmother left me
I’m grateful for the kindred spirits who
Know the magic of place
